Megan Hunter Weds Marshall Golowenski | Rustic Southwind Hills Wedding

Megan and Marshall’s rustic Southwind Hills wedding certainly took our breath away! An overflowing cake table with six yummy treats by Amy Cakes and dreamy burgundy, peach and blush florals by Trochta’s Flower and Garden Center helped create an atmosphere full of love. Wearing a stunning lace Morilee gown from Bella Rose Bridal, Megan truly glowed on her big day! Cheers to the sweet couple!

Marshall had already worked at Megan’s dad’s company for six months when she started in July of 2013. They met at work and Marshall is truly the “Jim” to Megan’s “Pam.” The pair built a friendship and began spending time together outside of the office.

Marshall proposed the day before Thanksgiving of 2015. Because it was a holiday, many of Megan’s family was visiting from Arkansas and Louisiana. After work, Marshall suggested they visit with her family. Upon arriving, the group introduced one another and made small talk when Marshall began making an announcement. That announcement turned into a beautiful proposal that had Marshall dropping to his knee and Megan saying yes through tears!

Megan’s mother passed away when she was 8 months old and the couple enjoyed incorporating her as much as possible. Megan wore a garter made out of her mother’s wedding dress as well as handed out handkerchiefs from her mother’s dress to Megan’s mother’s family. Megan also had a picture of her mother tied to her bouquet.

After much hesitation, Megan and Marshall opted to do a first look. The first look was a special moment for both of them: Marshall’s favorite wedding day memory was leading up to the first look imagining what his bride would look like, while Megan’s savored having the alone time in those special moments. It allowed the bride and groom to take in what their wedding day was about.

During the nuptials, the couple had a unity braid ceremony. After the walk back down the aisle, they stopped and enjoyed a flyover by a Microjet, which put everyone in a fun, dancing mood! The newlyweds and guests enjoyed dinner in the barn at Southwind Hills followed by speeches, dancing, photo booth photos and a remarkable helicopter exit.
