Tuscan Elegance Engagement Session at the Philbrook Museum of Art

Are we in Tulsa or Tuscany? Either way, this Tuscan elegance engagement session at the Philbrook Museum of Art is filled to the brim with European architecture and lush, grandiose design! Laura Eddy Photography captured Cassie and Addison’s chemistry in lovely light and airy style, perfect for the al fresco feel of these grand gardens. Originally built in the visage of an Italian Renaissance villa on 25 sprawling acres, the Philbrook serves as a Tulsa gem you could see every day and still be in awe of its luxury! Cassie and Addison first met on Bumble, but their modern love story almost didn’t happen because Cassie had already deleted the app after several unsuccessful dates. Luckily enough, she had a girl’s night on Valentine’s Day and her friend encouraged her to re-download the app! After some swiping, she saw Addison and knew she hadn’t seen him on the app before. It was an immediate match and he asked her on their first date the next day, and the rest is history! Now married, the couple recently said their vows in an October ceremony at The Patriot Golf Club in Owasso! With a classically romantic palette of burgundy, blush and gold, we’re sure there are so many gorgeous details we can’t wait to see in their fall wedding – especially their delicious wedding cake from Sweet Devotion Cakery. Yum! Keep scrolling to see this Tuscan elegance engagement session for yourself and read on to hear the bride’s story about how he proposed. Cheers to Cassie and Addison!

From the bride: “Addison proposed on Valentine’s Day, which was so sweet considering that was the day that we matched on Bumble. I knew he would be proposing soon because he had already talked to my father in January, and I was trying my best to figure out which weekend it would be! Everyone around me (my family, Addison, my best friend Bailey) tried to throw me off for Valentine’s weekend. My mom had told me she and my dad were going out of town, Addison acted COMPLETELY normal that whole week and even sent me flowers that day like a regular Valentine’s Day, and my friend Bailey told me about her jam-packed weekend that didn’t include an engagement party for me – so my hopes were very low for the possibility of getting engaged that weekend. We had a nice dinner planned Friday night, and Addison said he wanted to go for a walk at Lake Hefner before dinner. I didn’t know that he had been in touch with a photographer or that he would propose by the lake at sunset but that’s exactly what he did! Afterward, we went to dinner at The Ranch with just the two of us which was so perfect. We loved having the private time to process all that had just happened and enjoy being new fiancees! Addison had one more surprise in store, and he and my mom planned the sweetest engagement party at my parent’s house with both of our families and close friends the next evening. It was all so thoughtful and allowed us to have both private quality time and celebrate with our favorite people. I couldn’t have planned it better myself!”
