We adore this fun couple’s whimsical brunch wedding at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum! Delicious drinks, scrumptious eats and so many pops of color – we know their guests had a blast! Cheers to Megan and Phillip!

Megan first noticed Phillip in the library of the law school they both attended and they became a couple shortly thereafter. After two years of dating, Phillip proposed to Megan at Vast in a surprise gathering thrown by some of her closest friends.

Six months later – and only one week after Megan graduated from law school – the couple was married in a Sunday brunch wedding at Gaylord-Pickens Museum that combined all their favorite things: breakfast foods, mimosas, and all their closest friends and family.

While planning their wedding, it was important to Megan and Phillip to make choices that felt true to their style and personalities. They chose bold pinks and reds with navy and gold as their color palette, which was carried throughout from their invitation suite to the floral arrangements to the sunglasses they put out for their guests. As huge fans of Wes Anderson, the couple included nods to his movies in many of the wedding details. In line with their laidback brunch theme, the couple decided not to have a traditional wedding party and instead invited their close friends to lounge and sip mimosas the morning of the wedding as the couple got ready for the day.

The reception was held in the garden and included outdoor couches, yard games, and a breakfast taco and waffle bar. The couple felt fortunate to work with their wonderful vendors who ensured every detail and plan went perfectly. Overall, the day was filled with plenty of dancing, chatting with friends and family, and champagne, which was all Megan and Phillip wanted for their wedding.

The couple now resides in Houston, and is excited to take their postponed honeymoon trip to Europe to visit the Champagne wine region of France in the fall.
