Seasonal weddings are so much fun, and Maleea and Cody’s winter wonderland wedding is chock full of purple and blue hues that we love! Read more about their big day below:
Maleea and Cody went to high school together, but it wasn’t until after high school that they reconnected on social media, which led to the pair becoming a couple. After dating for a while, Maleea and Cody spent an evening in Bricktown where they went to The Melting Pot and their first Redhawks game. When they went to their suite at the Skirvin Hotel, Maleea was relaxing not realizing that Cody was stressing because he was about to propose. Much to Maleea’s surprise, Cody got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him.
Maleea and Cody were married December 12, 2014, at Crossing Hearts Ranch in Tecumseh. The day was so special to them because they were surrounded by family. Maleea’s mother walked the bride down the aisle while her daughter, TyLee, was the flower girl. Following the winter theme, Maleea’s wedding dress was light blue with a lace overlay. Lit snowflakes hung in their reception space casting a glow across the venue. Instead of flowers, TyLee tossed snowflakes down the aisle.
The couple describes their favorite moment from the wedding as being when Maleea walked into the venue after not seeing her groom all day. The newlyweds danced under glowing snowflakes to “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice for their first dance. The celebration continued with friends and family into the night.
The couple spent their first night as husband and wife in an amazing suite at The Grand and then enjoyed a few nights at The Artesian Hotel. They plan on going to Disney World with TyLee and celebrating their honeymoon on a Disney Cruise.
