This Bride was Surprised with the Sweetest Social-Distanced Field Wedding

Having a wedding in the time of COVID-19 doesn’t always have to mean eloping or going small, and it doesn’t have to compromise your safety either – this social-distanced field wedding is proof of that! Though this bride initially thought she wouldn’t see so many friends and family, her groom surprised her. Megan and Kurt’s Corona wedding did not give up an ounce of class or style, either, in its shifts from original plans! Megan looks just stunning in her bridal gown with its gorgeous beaded bodice trimmed with champagne satin and an A-line waist securing a lovely ruffled train. Her look is completed with elegant accessories, making her clad head to toe in Bella Rose Bridal. We love the way it contrasts with the landscape and makes her center of attention! Lush florals make up a wedding altar with a rustic romance feel, and following vows, these newlyweds opted for a symbolic sand-pouring ceremony. Our favorite part is the bride’s wedding ring from BC Clark Jewelers that looks absolutely luminous in creative detail shots expertly captured by Emily Nicole Photo. Megan had a favorite part of this gorgeous, social-distanced field wedding, too!

“My favorite moments of the day were all of Kurt’s surprises!

There were several wedding elements that Kurt had a hand in surprising Megan with, including coordinating a video montage by PenWeddings of friends and family. However, out of everything she had a favorite, of course. Megan said, “My favorite surprise was that he arranged many of our close family and best friends to attend in their cars. Every time I saw a new person, I cried new tears of joy.” That joy is so evident in this gallery and we love seeing so many smiles on faces everywhere you look (happy tears are perfectly fine, too). Upon reflection of her big day as a whole, Megan says “It was so thoughtful and the whole day turned out to be so unexpectedly perfect, we wouldn’t go back to our original wedding plan if we had a choice.” No one could have predicted the effect that this pandemic would have on the way we live, but we’re thankful it doesn’t hinder the way we love in the meantime. We love everything about this social-distanced field wedding! Read on to hear from the bride about what her wedding day was like. Cheers to Megan and Kurt!

From the bride: “Our wedding day was relaxed and intimate. Kurt and I decided not to see each other before the ceremony, so that took some work considering we were both getting ready in his parents’ house! It was fun to be able to get ready with my family and not be rushed. I was missing my bridesmaids throughout the day, so we were texting and talking via Facetime. It was fun having my kids there to help celebrate too. They loved getting dressed up! The laid back environment was something I ended up loving even though I was missing many of my favorite people.”
